Hi guys,

I have been reading about the *uTorrent* client for Bittorrent downloads recently.

If anyone here is using this new client can you enlighten whether the download speed is faster than Bitcomet? My current average speed with Bitcomet - if there is a seed and 20 leechers - is between 15 - 35 k/Bps. Is this considered good, average or poor? I can see some in the Peers section with downloads speed at 80- 125k/bps!

Anyone has problem logging onto the gaytorrentnetwork? I've been trying for the past day or so and I keep getting the Access Forbbiden message. I'm on maxonline, does it mean either my isp subscriber has blocked the site or has the moderator of the site blocked Singaporean users? Please advice, thanks!

Me too. I am also using StarHub MaxOnline and getting the following message:

Access forbidden!

You don't have permission to access the requested object. It is either read-protected or not readable by the server.

If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.

No ...

this error seems to be come from the web site itself, not from your ISP or you'll get something like "Pages not find" error in your browser.

This may caused by
1. too much users logged in to the forum
2. crashes of the systems
3. systems maintenance of the forum

Because most of the forums is running on a limited budget and only have limited resources for hardware.

That may happen sometimes.

Simply try to access those sites after a couple of days.

Firstly, if you're using Windows XP with SP2, possibly you'll get a message in the System Event Viewer saying "TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent TCP connect attempts"
Start ->Control Panel -> administrative tools -> event viewer
This is a OS security measurement imposing that limit the speed of spreading the worm during outbreak. However, it would slow down the downloading performance of the P2P applications where my concurrent sessions = faster

Download the patch and change the setting as instructed
Download Event 4226 Patch

Secondly, go to the Norton and there should be some settings like add allow Act as server & Act as client for Internet and Trusted network under Program control. The warning messages will gone after it has been done so.

Finally, when you're behind firewall or broadband router, check what ports is using for your p2p application, you should able to see the port number under "Options", you need to forward ports to your PC that would allow a direct connection from the internet to your PC and the performance will be enhanced.

For all the members - u can try the "emule" just do a search on internet n download the software, my emule software v0.47a.
After download do a search in emule then double click on it, then click d icon tranfer u will see the file being downloading.

ps: i have been downloading a lots of file for the past.

do rember it is a free tools n web just b patient when downloading (patient N patient)

weird...been hearing a lot of people having some problems entering those site whereas i encounter any of those problems....are you guys in singapore having that problem, im from kl and its fine to me
